How Can You Help

Thanks to the fundraising efforts of companies, charitable trusts and individuals around the UK, we’re able to give disadvantaged children in Scotland much-needed respite breaks.

We do not receive funding from central or local government, and we work hard to ensure every penny makes a difference to the lives of the children we help.

The overwhelming proportion of the money donated to us goes directly to holiday activity costs, for outings, sports, arts and crafts materials and transportation costs.

It costs £375 per child and £4,500 for a group of 12 children and their carers to spend a week at Ardvullin.

Fundraising

There are all sorts of ways you can help us raise funds to provide respite breaks:

•    Bake sales at work
•    Sponsored runs i.e. 10K/marathons or other challenges
•    Car boot sales
•    Dress up/dress down days
•    Let your imagination run wild and come up with your own ideas!...

Whether the amount you raise is large or small, every donation  makes a difference and helps us to keep Ardvullin operating.
We also value practical help, such as work parties coming to decorate Ardvullin or assist with DIY to ensure our holiday house is always a fresh and welcoming environment.

If you have an idea about how you can help please just get in touch, we’d love to discuss it with you. For more information about supporting HopScotch as an individual, read this helpful newsletter for some ideas. If you're interested in supporting HopScotch through your workplace, this newsletter offers practical advice and ideas to support you in that.

Another way you can support us is by renting out Ardvullin yourself!

Our respite break season runs for 36 weeks each year, but out of season and at weekends year-round our beautiful holiday centre is available for private rentals.

The proceeds from rentals goes directly back into supporting the work of HopScotch Children’s Charity.
