Meet Our Second New Board Member - welcome to Chris Gotts

In our last news update we introduced the first of our two new board members for 2024. Last week we introduced you to Laura Macdonald - this week we'd like to introduce you to Chris Gotts!

Meet Chris…

I live in Edinburgh with my family of two children aged 16 and 18 and our family dog, Ozzy.  I’ve been a lawyer for over 27 years and in my spare time I enjoy holidaying in Scotland, playing golf and trying hard to stay in reasonable shape!

Favourite childhood holiday memory

An amazing family holiday on the Isle of Barra when I was 13 years’ old.  The beaches were as beautiful as anywhere in the world and deserted, with one of them made all the more interesting by a daily flight from Glasgow using it as a runway!  However, the weather wasn’t always as beautiful as the beaches….

Why HopScotch?

It’s a fantastic charity in terms of the positive impact it has on young lives, and I was very keen to play a role in helping to ensure that as many children as possible are able to benefit from the West Coast outdoor experience and the lasting effect that can have on their life.
